Green commute Initiative

VIA proudly supports the Green Commute Initiative, a game-changing program that leads the way in sustainable transport. This award-winning Cycle to Work Scheme eliminates spending limits and ownership fees, making your dream bike more accessible than ever. With potential savings of 28-47% (depending on your tax bracket), riders can spread the cost monthly through salary sacrifice, interest-free, over a flexible 3 to 60-month period. This initiative doesn’t just make cycling more affordable; it reduces traffic congestion and pollution while improving personal health, fitness, and mental wellbeing. As more people switch to cycling for shorter trips, the positive impact is felt by all.

What is a cycle to work scheme ?

The Cycle to Work Scheme, is designed to promote healthier commutes and reduce environmental impact. Through this initiative, employees can access bikes and essential cycling gear as a tax-free benefit, making commuting greener and more efficient. This tax exemption is a cornerstone of the Government's Green Transport Plan.

VIA works with leading Cycle to Work scheme providers such as Cyclescheme, Bike2Work, Green Commute Initiative, and more, making it easier for employees to get set up with their ideal bike and gear. Employees receive a certificate, which, once authorised by their employer, can be used to purchase bikes and safety equipment. The scheme operates through salary sacrifice, allowing employees to pay for their bike from their gross pay, saving on tax and national insurance contributions. It also makes cycling more affordable by spreading the cost across monthly payments.

While most accessories are eligible for purchase, certain items such as power meters, GPS devices, and gift cards are excluded. Discounts and offers can't be applied to Cycle to Work orders.
All cycle to work schemes are accepted.

Not sure if your employer's scheme is covered? No worries—reach out, and we'll find a solution to make sure you can ride off with the perfect bike. Effortless savings and expert support, no matter the scheme.
